Services to Employers

Employers can find valuable new staff through STARS at no charge. A skilled and trained facilitator or Job Coach may work alongside the new employee for as long as it takes to become competent and integrated into the workplace. The facilitator will advise the employer on how to best meet the needs of a worker with a disability, for instance, physical adaptations to the workspace or free training/information about disabilities for other employees.

STARS has a list of clients with a range of work skills and experience in manual, horticultural, administrative and industrial occupations. The quality ‘on the job’ and ‘back up’ support service that is part of the Supported Employment process means both employers and the employee have access to our service whenever this is needed. Contact with other businesses that employ people with a disability is also available.
