As a student moves toward finishing their secondary schooling the question “what happens next?” is usually asked. For many students there is little continuation or coordination of post school support services, which can result in students falling through the gaps in gaining continuous and appropriate services.
STARS aims to work with students, families and other involved agencies before and after the student leaves school in order to provide successful supported employment opportunities.

We provide employment placement and ongoing support services for people who are affected by disability. People may enrol for this service themselves or be referred by another support agency.
Making a good match between the client and the job is paramount. This includes matching the clients skills with the job requirements, matching personalities, matching support staff with the client and the other workers.

We grow eco-sourced native trees to create employment and to support ecological restoration projects throughout the Wairarapa
